Our Journey
A World Discovered, One Glass at a Time
It all began with a simple goal: to see two new countries every year. For years, we kept that promise to ourselves — passports filling with stamps, memories etched in every corner of the world. From the colors and chaos of India to the calm canals of Copenhagen, from the green hills of Ireland to the cobblestone charm of England, and the unexpected beauty of Macedonia and Hungary — travel became more than a passion. It became a rhythm, woven into the fabric of our lives.
Every trip offered something new — flavors, traditions, and people who taught us that culture is best understood through what’s shared around a table. Travel didn’t just show us the world; it shaped how we see it — especially through the lens of design, hospitality, and service. We found ourselves captivated not only by what was on the plate or in the glass, but by how each place made us feel: the textures of a space, the warmth of a welcome, the thoughtfulness in the smallest details.
Over time, that love for great service and design sparked countless conversations — the kind that start with “If this were our restaurant…” or “They’re so close to perfect; imagine if they just…”. We never had a place to share those thoughts before, so this blog became that space — a kind of open journal, where we celebrate the restaurants, wineries, and destinations we already love while offering ideas that might inspire their next evolution.
Then, with the arrival of our first child, life took on a new kind of adventure — one closer to home, yet equally transformative. Slower mornings, quieter evenings, and more time to savor the small things led to a growing curiosity about what filled the glass at the end of the day. What started as a casual interest in wine quickly became a deep fascination with its history, craft, and connection to place.
That curiosity became a calling — a journey toward understanding the world of wine with the same wonder we brought to every destination. And so began my path to becoming a certified sommelier, blending the love of travel, storytelling, design, and taste into one ongoing exploration.
